Good news from our UTS North Sydney 4th, who took the honours against Hawkesbury 4th on Saturday, winning by 72 runs.
We batted first and finished with 5/174 on the board from 20 overs. Naman Batish brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 52 off 38 balls. Shrey Parsania chipped in with 34. Solid support came from Kaviru Karunaratne, who made 31.
In reply, Hawkesbury 4th finished on 102 from 16.3 overs. Our opponents' best with the bat was Aryan Rodrigues, who made 32. With the ball, Ravi Adabala did the damage, claiming four for 16 off four overs. Shivam Vohra added two for 21.
Our bowlers made sure the visitors didn't bat out their overs. A first win of the season, and hopefully the first of many.
A day to enjoy for everyone at UTS North Sydney.
