It was a disappointing outing for our UTS North Sydney 5th, who were held off by St George 5th in NSW Premier Cricket (Men's) action.
St George 5th batted first and put 7/242 on the board from 50 overs. Credit to Noah Pethers, who made a half-century (59) for our opponents. Eesa Omar returned figures of two for 21 off nine overs. Gurnoor Singh claimed two for 25 as well.
Our chase ended at 160 from 44 overs. Leading the way was Sachiin Muthukumaran with 46 off 68 balls. Rod Krause claimed four for 17 for the hosts.
That has us 12th on the ladder.
The team will be keen to bounce back.
