There was no joy for our UTS North Sydney Poidevin-Gray Shield, who went down to Gordon in a tough outing.
After batting first, we finished on 9/201 from 50 overs. Fifty for Hamish Reynolds, who finished with 76 off 116 balls. Fergus Fergusson contributed 34 off 40 balls.
Gordon knocked off the runs, finishing on 1/203 in 40.1 overs. Fifty for Alexander Cutting, who made 77 for the hosts. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Joseph Gillard, who made 70 not out. Fergusson bowled a maiden, a rare feat in T20 cricket.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
