Our UTS North Sydney W2 had to settle for a loss as they lost their match against Greater Hunter Coast W2 on a day that didn't go our way.
Greater Hunter Coast W2 set the target, making 5/135 from 20 overs. Lily Railz made a quality 55 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Abigail Aitken was the pick of our bowlers with three for 23.
Needing 136 to win, we finished on 6/98 from 20 overs. Samantha Williams was unbeaten on 24 off 29 balls. Phoebe Howe added a useful 22 off 27 balls.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
We'll go again.
