Our UTS North Sydney W3 fought hard but were beaten by Manly Warringah W3 despite Esha Tiwana's 50.
After batting first, we finished on 10/173 from 39.4 overs. Esha Tiwana's 50 not out off 79 balls was a half-century to remember. Lily Hancock added a useful 37 off 52 balls. For Manly Warringah W3, Sienna James took three for 36 off seven overs.
Our opponents reached the target at 9/174 in 36.1 overs. Sophie Beukers batted well for the visitors, making 42 off 54 balls. Rina Hore bowled impressively to finish with two for 16. Bernadette Robson bowled cleverly for two for 27.
Plenty to take out of this one.
We're currently sixth on the ladder. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. The side will be eager to put this one behind them against Parramatta W3 next Saturday.
