Good news from our UTS North Sydney W3, who came away winners against Sydney University W3 by two wickets at Tempe Recreational Reserve - Oval #1 on Saturday.
Sydney University W3 batted first and reached 3/133 from 40 overs. Lily Bradford made a quality 50 for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century. Our opponents also got 31 from Alison Chisholm.
In reply, the side reached the target at 8/134 in 32 overs. Leading the way was Evelyn McKay with 26 off 17 balls. Solid support came from Heidi Gerber, who made 26. The hosts' best with the ball was Bradford (three for 7). Chisholm finished with three for 38 for our opponents.
