It wasn't to be for our UTS North Sydney W2, who were denied by Bankstown W2 on a frustrating day.
The final scores were UTS North Sydney W2 10/140, Bankstown W2 5/141. Bernadette Robson played a fine hand of 38 off 48 balls. Our opponents' Milla Bruce was the standout with the ball, taking five for 6.
Lucy Mellis was the main threat for the hosts, making 42. Abigail Aitken was the pick of our bowlers with two for 11. Grace Wetherall backed up well, taking two for 24.
Credit to our opponents, who played well.
That's three losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
