It was smiles all round as our UTS North Sydney W2 emerged victorious against St George-Sutherland W2 for an excellent result.
First up, St George-Sutherland W2 made 5/168 from 50 overs. Mia Pordage held our opponents' innings together with 40. Lavena Rampal was the pick of our bowlers with two for 9.
In reply, the girls reached the target at 7/169 in 49.1 overs. Kayla Robson posted a half-century, making 51 off 66 balls with nine fours. Bernadette Robson was still there at the end on 46 off 98 balls. Sophie Clark was the main threat for the visitors, taking three for 27.
It was a terrific all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. The first win of the season is in the bank.
A cracking effort from the team.
