It was a disappointing outing for our UTS North Sydney 1st, who lost out to Gordon 1st with lessons to take away.
Our innings: 140 and 8/217. Gordon 1st's: 317. Justin Avendano was the star with the bat, compiling a great 110 not out off 190 balls with sixteen fours and one six. There were also handy runs from Timothy Reynolds (37). Hamish Reynolds chipped in with 35. Connor Cook was the pick of the visitors' bowlers with three for 16. Joe Pocklington backed up with three for 33 for our opponents.
Our best with the ball was Jamieson Hedges, who took three for 58. James Campbell finished with two for 58. Jack Shelley made a good 99 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century.
Plenty to take out of this one.
That's two losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard. On to the next one.
