Despite a solid effort, our UTS North Sydney 2nd fell to Manly Warringah 2nd on Saturday at Bon Andrews Park (North Sydney Oval #2).
Manly Warringah 2nd batted first and made 5/345 from 50 overs. Our opponents' Edmund Hole made a fine 136. Prosha Rahman bowled nicely to finish with two for 58.
Our chase ended at 298 from 45.5 overs. Jack Feilen's 90 off 103 balls was a half-century to remember. Dilraj Singh posted a half-century, making 62 off 64 balls with eight fours and two sixes. Tony Cornwell contributed 48 off 41 balls. Credit to Myles Kapoor, who took four for 61 for the visitors. Joshua Lawson weighed in with three for 56 for our opponents.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
